Founded in 2023 and run by Joe Skinner and Paul Kitchen, Kamasow is a team of makers and problem solvers dedicated to making beautiful projects come to life from our workshop in West Cornwall. Working with steam bent wood the possibilities are endless, from creating sculptural timber cladding, forming interior spaces to exterior installations. We work with interior designers, garden designers and architects to realise their vision.

Joe: I grew up in Cornwall and South London, and studied History at Cambridge University. A lifelong creative, I developed a passion for old buildings and began working in building renovation after university. While honing my craft skills I discovered the joy of building cabins. I went on to make many cabins, garden rooms, and workshops, leading me to work alongside Paul at a leading wooden furniture manufacturer where I discovered steambending wood. I have collaborated with prominent brands like Colicci and various architects and garden designers to bring their visions to life at events such as Chelsea Flower Show.

Paul: Born and raised in West Cornwall, I studied Environmental Quality and Resource Management at the University of the West of England before working worldwide as a marine geophysical surveyor for almost twenty years. In 2017 l hung up my offshore overalls and began working with a growing design and manufacturing business specialising in steam bent furniture and lighting products filling a number of roles including workshop maker, quality controller, supply chain manager and site manager. Through a company restructure in 2020, I switched to self employment until early 2023 when I teamed up with Joe to help deliver the Colicci Kiosks and Kamasow was formed.
